Situated in the lush bushveld of the Waterberg is Marakele National Park. Marataba, a 21000 hectare privately managed concession within the national park offers one of South Africa’s most innovative conservation models. The area is one of South Africa’s biodiversity hotspots, rich in a diversity of fauna and flora with the added bonus of breath-taking mountain backdrops.

Every group of guests is allocated a private guide and vehicle, allowing for flexibility. In addition to daily safari activities, guests  at Marataba Conservation Camps participate in a variety of conservation activities such as game transects, camera trap surveys and compiling of identity kits for individual animals.
